When I wor a lad......When I wor a lad, Medway RFC were up there in the stratosphere with the Gods (or so they thought), while us Old Willies were something they had just trodden in !
Now I see they have plummeted from their lofty perch and you have them next week.
Are any other Old buggers like me (1978-1985ish - still playing by the way 46+, tall young slim speedy back) going to watch?
Would appreciate a reply sooner rather than later as its along way up from sunny Somerset.

hello mate
nice to see an old old willy has found the web site.
i think a trip up to watch the medway game will be well worth it. it will most definitley be the game of the season for both teams.
medway always have a massive crowd and i think like you, a lot of OW's will be making the effort to come and watch the game.
I'm sure some of our older members will be posting here to let you know they are going to attend.

Small Good.Geordie, good to hear from you....last time I saw you was in Oz at my brothers gaff....Summer (their winter) 2003. Unfortunately, I can't make the Medway game in October as I am off to Thailand for a week of Short, Sharp,Shock!
There is a real good feeling at the club these days...loads of new players and an alcoholic supporters club!!
Stay in touch....I go along to nearly every other match (home and away).

There will definitely be a good showing of supporters from the recently retired ranks of Old Willies. if you can't make it though try to put the home game in your diary - 13 January 2006. We will be putting on a lunch before the game. Good honest (rubbish!) food washed down with vast quantities of ale and port will be order of the day.
If you are intending to come to the Medway game on 21 October confirm on this site and I'll inform some older guys you will certainly remember, Al the Dog, Bryan Parris, Spadge and let them know you are coming.

medwayI will be going, but you may have difficulty getting in if they impose a height restriction.

Tour 2007I will go but feel that Ilfracombe or the Isle of Wight would be better destinations than Bangkok because some of the lads may take their eye off the ball when it comes to the rugby.
Isn't that the reason why we tour after all?
I won't be around for a couple of weeks......I'm going to Bangkok!

Versus Medway...HalfinchGood to hear from some of my old Muckers.
Nice to see Al the Dog has lost none of his old Wit and Repartit.. Height restriction indeed !!
Will not now be coming for the October game as my other half tells me we are away for Half Term - nice to be told these things. Its a wonderful Institution is marriage.
Like the sound of the January lunch, I mean match - will pencil that game in. Might need a bed though somewhere as my folks will have left the Mudway Towns by then and severed my lingering ties.
Looking at the nicknames, Bog, Dog etc I might consider Hog as a new title. You'll understand when you next see me.
