Dear all
-
Sadly I have to let you know that Les passed away early on Sunday morning.

With an original and unique kicking style that will never be repeated I'm sure we all have stories and memories of Les.

Tim, Stu and the family thanked you all for your words of support during the last week whilst Les was in hospital and I'm sure our thoughts are with them now.

For those who will be at the club for the game this weekend I'm sure it will be appropriate to raise a glass or two for Les.

The funeral is being held at Medway crematorium on Wednesday 18 October at 10.40 am.

Family flowers only but donations to Myeloma foundation (details of where to send to follow).

Along with Roy Webb, they were the guys who had been there and done it - and were still trying to get away with it. To lose both of them in the same year is a real shame.

Much respect to both Les and Roy many of the teachings of the dark arts were enlivened by their considered input.
In addition to the unique kicking style of dusty holland, who could also forget the unexpected torpedo ball put in at the line - at boot level as hard as possible when we were all clearly too tired to jump as high as the bigger boys but well able to collapse on the floor as the oposition lept effortlessly into the empty air with well drilled superiority but to no real effect.
Classic and sadly missed.
